Are you tired of living a life of mediocrity? Is there anything about your existence that you would really like to change? Would you love to rise above the mundane? What if you could experience what it is to live a truly exceptional life? I appreciate the opportunity to offer some wisdom I have found. The following approaches are packed with valuable gems. As you put them to use, they will literally have the ability to change your life. When taking a look at themselves and their lives, a lot of people find they are not living up to who they would really like to be in their relationships, health-wise, how they feel about themselves, in their feelings of self-worth, and in their income. Many adults really don’t have a vision of who it is they want to be or what they want to do. They just know they are not there.
.Have you really taken the time to decide what you would really like to do/be? Do you have a vision that keeps you on track and moving forward to your goals, achieving them one by one?
.Do you ever compare yourself with others? It may have the tendency to think, “I couldn’t do that as well as someone else.” But God has a message and mission just for you. Comparing what you see as your worst to everyone else’s best, is self-defeating. Moreover, often it is the problems you have experienced, and know something about, that are your message. God has a mission just for you to make the world a better place in your own way. If you follow His guidance, you can turn around and help someone behind you, who needs what only you can offer. No one can carry out in just the same way, with just the same perspectives, gifts, and experiences what you can. Frequently the inclination is to hide. We, with our limited perspectives, can easily overlook just how wonderful we really are.
.Do you pick on yourself? God’s work is good. Be grateful for the body God gave you. Your body is beautiful and miraculous in so many ways! If there are things about yourself that you would like to change and can be changed, just begin with hoping, then believing, that it is possible to do so. You can create a better you that really can work hand in hand with God to help others. Expect miracles.
.Are there people in your life that you hold responsible for holding you back? If you find yourself being sarcastic—about others and about yourself, it’s time to stop. Letting go of negativity is a weight lifted from your heart. Blame is lame. It’s a cop out. You are in charge of creating the very best life for you, whatever your past or present circumstances.
.Do you sometimes find that you tell yourself, “I wouldn’t know how to do something like that” or “I can’t see how I could ever do that”? Instead, dare to assert that, “I know there is a way. I want to learn how.” Have an image in your mind of where you want to be. See it. Trust that the answer of how to get there really is available. Begin to look for the answer, believing you will find it. Believe in yourself. Watch what happens and what you will attract from the Universe as you simply do your part.
.Begin to change your words to hopeful ones. Stop expecting disasters. For example, instead of saying, “I have to”, “I should”, “I need to”, change it to “I choose to”. Instead of using the words, “I’m so busy,” and “I’m so frustrated (overwhelmed, disappointed),” what could you replace them with? The language you use matters. What you focus on you will get more of.
.Have you ever found yourself thriving on being down? Being down in the dumps can be an addictive behavior. One can actually cause themselves to slide into clinical depression with their thoughts. Take control. Quit feeling sorry for yourself and stop moping around. Notice what triggers the feelings of anger and defeat. Prune them out. Beginning a gratitude journal can literally pull someone out of depression if used correctly.
.Start building upon what you are already good at. Nurture your skills. Do you know someone who has obtained what you want? Follow their advice about how to get there. In fact, build a team of people around you that will nurture you toward obtain your vision and goals. Find out how to make money doing it. Find people who already know what you want to know.
.Are you afraid to do something for fear it might not be perfect? Failure can be the best thing that ever happened to you. It can truly be one of the best building blocks to something truly amazing.
.Most importantly, learning to follow the Spirit of God in your everyday life can lead you into things you never knew you could do. You can follow your path every day knowing you are right where you are needed.
